CubeCartSkins.net is now KissMyCart.net!

We emailed all customers who were subscribed to our store newsletter on Friday the 3rd July to inform them that CubeCartSkins.net was moving to KissMyCart.net. During the last few days CubeCartSkins.net has been unable to accept any new orders and our Helpdesk at http://support.cubecartskins.co.uk was non functional. We needed to do this so we could concentrate on moving everything over rather than having to respond to tickets.

We had hoped to have everything ready for you yesterday (Sunday 5th July) but there was so much work to do which made that date impossible. We are very excited though to confirm that we will be back up and running from late afternoon today.

We have had a number of emails asking us why we were moving and how the move would affect our search engine positions - The main reason for the move is that we would like to offer more services and products not relating to CubeCart which left us to decide whether we should setup a seperate website to run alongside CubeCartSkins or to put everything together under one new home which is what we have decided to do. Additionally we have had many complaints from customers who were unhappy about needing to register two accounts with us, one for the store and one for the helpdesk. We totally understand how this was inconvenient to people and we certainly would like to have to do the same thing but there was no way for us to bridge the databases so we were looking at how we could best solve the problem.

With the seperate account issue we also wanted to offer new features to our customers and also wanted to strip down the shopping cart steps but doing all this meant really hacking the hell out of CubeCart which in-turn causes no end of problems come upgrade time so while it would make things easier for our customers it made everything so much harder for us so we wanted to offer all this under one roof which meant looking for a different solution.

After testing a number of shopping carts on the market we decided to utilise the shopping cart facilities already available in our helpdesk but our helpdesk doesn't offer any kind of CMS facility to manage the front end so we thought it best to seperate the front end of our website from the backend which handles the helpdesk and shopping cart.

So now all aspects of shopping with us, helpdesk tickets and account management can all be found in one place instead of the two we had previously. To make things as easy for our customers as possible we have added buy buttons directly to our product listings which take you directly to the shopping cart where you can register or login. At the same place you can also submit a support ticket, view existing support tickets, view all your orders, manage your account and much much more, all with only one account and login required. You will also find a completely redesigned account page which gives you access to all of your account functions.

Unfortunately it's not all good news.

We sadly have not been able to transfer existing store accounts and orders over to the new system but while you will not be able to view previous orders made at CubeCartSkins.net we will be able to so as long as you have your previous Order Numbers then we can find you and find your previous purchases. On the plus side though, if you have ever registered an account at our previous helpdesk http://support.cubecartskins.co.uk then this account has been transfered so you can still login with those previous details.
